“Inspired by the mysterious allure of ads from the back of 1950s comic books, the Hypnotic Record campaign for the Kansas City’s skateshop spins its own web of intrigue. What started as a design for one skateboard deck quickly grew into a thematically consistent line of shirts, wheels, stickers, decks and launching their team DVD – all fueled by the graphic style reminiscent of the period and over-caffeinated, alliterative copy.”
