Porchlight Press Launch Party Invitation

A vibrant two-sided postcard style invitation with the Porchlight graphic on the front and party details on the back. Bright red ink and red foil on the envelope exterior tied the piece together as well as created an element of excitement and surprise.



Porchlight Press Workshop Voucher

A postcard for a four-hour private workshop at Porchlight Press to learn the basics of letterpress printing on a Vandercook Proof Press. Produced on soft Lettra cotton and edge-painted bright orange, this piece showcases the unique qualities of letterpress printing.

There are three whimsical notebooks in this series, each referencing a traditional book genre: Adventure, How-To and Romance. The genre is suggested by the cover title and graphic and complemented by the interior cover design and dedication.

Let There Be Light is inspired by map insurance lettering (see Sanborn Map Company). The text is taken from the first few verses In genesis. The cartographic inspiration is a subtle Hint to the creative blueprint instructions. It is printed on Cordenons Moondream (turns transparent upon hot stamping).

The AIGA 100 show 2010 identity plays off of the historic Utah road grid system. The identity is inspired from old Utah cartography. As an addition to this year’s show, the coveted copper ingot returns to its original copper plate design.
